MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – Are you expecting? Do you have an infant aged one or younger? If so, the Florida Department of Health Marion County (DOH-Marion) is throwing you a party!
The ‘World’s Greatest Baby Shower’ is going down–free of potentially embarrassing gender-reveal mishaps–in two sessions, from 2-4 p.m. and 5-7 p.m., on Friday, March 20, 2026, at the Mary Sue Rich Community Center at Reed Place, 1821 NW 21st St., Ocala.
“This free event provides expectant parents and families of infants up to age 1 with educational and community resources and information,” read an announcement from DOH-Marion. “Attendees could win prizes such as cribs, umbrella strollers, baby bathtubs, toys, clothing, car seats, playmats, and more. Dads are highly encouraged to attend. Pre-registration is not necessary.”
The Department of Health is joined by fellow hosts Healthy Start of Marion County, AdventHealth Ocala, the Early Learning Coalition of Marion County, Fun4OcalaKids, Marion County Children’s Alliance, and Loving Arms Birth and Wellness Center in bringing this unique and helpful event to new and expectant parents.
