JUPITER, FL (352today.com) — Police have arrested a Florida man on charges of making threats on social media against former President Donald Trump, U.S. Sen. JD Vance and their families.
The Jupiter Police Department (JPD) said in a news release that officers arrested Michael M. Wiseman and charged him with written threats to kill.
Police say he was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Palm Beach County Jail just before 7 p.m. on Friday.
A review of the jail log confirms Wiseman is still in custody as of Saturday morning and being held without bond.

Detectives say Wiseman made multiple written threats on Facebook against Trump and Vance, who became the Republican presidential and vice-presidential nominees at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee this week.

According to a post on the agency’s Facebook page, threats were also made “concerning bodily harm” against members of the Trump and Vance families.
Police say multiple people notified them in person and online about the posts. The arrest comes less than a week after the assassination attempt on Trump at a political rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Jupiter is about 20 miles north of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home in Palm Beach.
JPD says they conducted the investigation in coordination with the U.S. Secret Service and the Palm Beach County State Attorney’s Office.
