OCALA, FL (352today.com) – A 25-year-old former school employee was arrested after an investigation into child sexual abuse material, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
Phillip Demon Duncan of Silver Springs was arrested on 20 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material (CSAM), officials said. Investigators with the sheriff’s Internet Crimes Against Children unit began their investigation Dec. 20 after receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about a Google user uploading a file of child sexual abuse material.
Detectives identified Duncan as the user linked to the account and later found dozens of additional files containing child sexual abuse material as well as other sexual content, on the account. A warrant for Duncan’s arrest was issued Apr. 17. On Apr. 23, 2026, deputies located him inside a vehicle at a Waffle House parking lot on NW 34th Ave. in Ocala and took him into custody. Duncan was booked into the Marion County Jail, where he remains without bond.
Investigators said Duncan previously worked as a para-professional at Oakcrest Elementary School and believe he may have had access to or contact with children. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Henrik Osthed at 352-351-4710.
