OCALA, FL (352today.com) โ Meet Sydney, a 77-pound bundle of love from theย Humane Society of Marion County (HSMC)ย who’s been through more than most in her short life, but still greets the world with a wagging tail and a heart full of hope.
Just 1 year and 3 months old, this Rottweiler mix was rescued from a hoarding situation in Jacksonville. Despite her rough beginnings, Sydney is sweet, social, and bursting with potential. She’s a gentle soul who gets along well with cats and thrives in homes with older children, especially those 12 and up who can match her size and playful energy.

While shy at first, Sydney strikes the perfect balance between fun-loving pup and affectionate cuddlebug. Whether sheโs romping around the yard or curling up for a quiet snuggle, sheโs happiest when surrounded by love. Her big brown eyes and warm demeanor win hearts instantly.

Now, sheโs looking for a second chance with a family that will give her the care, stability, and affection sheโs always deserved. Get ready for a loyal companion who will greet you with a wag, make you laugh with her goofy antics, and wrap you in the kind of hugs only a big dog can give, and consider making Sydney part of your pack.
If youโre looking to help but not yet ready to adopt, HSMC is looking for volunteers through the busy summer. Kids and teens must be at least 14 years old to participate in volunteer programs and must be 16 years or older to volunteer without a parent or guardian. You can visitย thehsmc.org/volunteerย to get involved.
