GAINESVILLE, FL (352today.com) – Gainesville Mayor Harvey Ward will deliver his annual State of the City address on Tuesday, Feb. 13.
The city says during the annual keynote, the mayor will highlight the city’s progress toward its strategic goals and vision for an equitable and inclusive Gainesville.
The address will be presented from 10-11:30 a.m. at Santa Fe College’s Blount Center at 530 W. University Ave. in Gainesville.
The public is invited to attend.
Ward started serving on the city commission in 2017 before being elected mayor in November 2022. He took office a little more than a year ago in January 2023.
The city says student-government representatives from area public schools will be in attendance and have an opportunity to meet with the mayor after his address.
If you can’t make it in person, the address will be livestreamed on the city’s Facebook page and recorded for later broadcast on Cox Cable Channel 12. The city says the recording will also be archived online.
