GAINESVILLE, FL (352today.com) – This week is expected to kick off with some chilly weather, causing cold night shelters to open.

The City of Gainesville says due to temperatures dropping below 45 degrees, their Cold Night Shelter (CNS) program will be activated starting Sunday night.

During the evening hours of Sunday, Feb. 18-Wednesday, Feb. 21, St. Francis House and GRACE Marketplace will provide services to those in need as long as temperatures are below 45 degrees.

City officials say St. Francis House provides temporary shelter for families, women and children, and GRACE Marketplace primarily serves individual adults.
