OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Jeff Walczak, public information officer for the Ocala Police Department, reports that all lanes are now open on College Rd.

Ocala Fire Rescue (OFR) and Ocala Police Department (OPD) confirm a gas leak on College Rd.

Ashley Lopez, public information officer for OFR, says that a four-inch commercial gas line was accidentally punctured by construction crews in the area of Smalls Sliders.  She says that both Smalls Sliders and Bank of America were evacuated as a precaution.

Jeff Walczak, public information officer for OPD, noted that the roadway is closed in both directions between SW 32nd Ave. and the 3600 block of College Rd.

Lopez says that traffic was rerouted through the Olive Garden parking lot, at one point.

There is currently no estimated time for the roadway to reopen.  This is a developing story.  Check back for updates.
