GAINESVILLE, FL (352today.com) – The University of Florida invites students and Gator fans to the Stephen C. O’Connell Center on Monday evening to watch the UF men’s basketball team compete in the NCAA Championship game against Houston. Tip-off is set for 8:50 p.m. at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.
Fans can attend the Gainesville watch party free of charge at Exactech Arena. Gates 1 and 3 open at 7 p.m. and will close once capacity is reached or at the start of the second half. Seating is general admission.

The arena will be arranged as it is for regular games, with concessions available and fan contests throughout the evening. The Dazzlers and cheerleaders are also scheduled to perform.
Metal detectors will be in use for security. Midday host Lewis Stokes from 93.7 K-Country recalled the excitement of UF’s 2006 championship watch party, calling the atmosphere “electric.”
