GAINESVILLE, FL (352today.com) – Florida wide receiver Ricky Pearsall announced via social media that he is declaring for the NFL draft.

On Tuesday, Pearsall, the senior receiver shared on X (formerly Twitter) and his Instagram account that his time at Florida has come to an end.

“I want to take this opportunity to announce that I am deeply proud, blessed and excited to take my talents to the next level and declare for the NFL draft,” shared Pearsall.

He thanked his coaches, Florida’s recruiting and training staff, and his teammates for believing in him and being his family away from home. Pearsall also thanked the Gator Nation for their endless support.

“All I ever wanted to do since I first walked into the Swamp was to make all of you proud. I will forever be a Gator and will always represent myself as a Gator,” shared Pearsall.

Pearsall was a 2022 Arizona State transfer and also thanked everyone at ASU for the role they played in his success.

During his 2023 season, Pearsall started all 23 games at wide receiver leading the team with 65 receptions, and 965 receiving yards. He also ends his 2023 season with six touchdowns for the Gators.

Pearsall finished his college career with 19 touchdowns with 12 of those contributing to Florida during his two seasons with the Gators.

He has also accepted an invitation to the 2024 Reese’s Senior Bowl which will be held in Mobile, Alabama, on February 3, 2024.

Pearsall shared on X that it’s a ‘blessing and honor’ to receive the opportunity. He’ll get a chance to show off his talents ahead of the NFL draft which will be held April 25-27 in Detroit.
