Ocala, FL (352today.com) – Once a year the Community Foundation for Ocala/Marion County hosts a one-day blitz to help out local nonprofits called Give4Marion.
Give4Marion was established in 2020 as a 24-hour online giving event designed to get the community together for charitable undertakings while respecting social distancing guidelines brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Give4Marion raised just over $310,000 to support 81 profits in its first year alone.
Donations grew in its second year to $532,000 and to $771,000 in 2022.
This year, Give4Marion will be open for donations for 33 hours with more than 90 local nonprofits benefiting from it. The donation drive begins on Tuesday, Sept. 19, at 10 a.m. and wraps up at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 20.
It’s easy to donate. Just go to Give4Marion.org. You choose the organization(s) you would like to support. There are different levels of giving for each organization, as well, or you can choose your own amount.
There are also Matching Moments where local companies will match, double, or even triple your donation starting at the top of a particular hour during the event until the matching funds run out. For example, Team Cone, an Ocala beverage distributor, will match all online gifts up to $100, dollar for dollar, until the $15,000 matching fund runs out. The donations must be made during the specific moments to qualify.
This event happens just once a year and is fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Donations are tax-deductible and can be made via credit and debit card only.
