GAINESVILLE, FL (352today.com) – The Gainesville Police Department (GPD) says they have made an arrest in connection to an armed robbery at Zaxby’s restaurant.

Police say they arrested 18-year-old Juanquavious Jackson on charges of two counts of attempted felony murder, robbery with a firearm, and possession of a firearm by a delinquent.

GPD says on Saturday, Oct. 21., Jackson entered the Zaxby’s located on NW 10 Avenue and pointed a gun at several employees. They say afterwards, he fired his gun, took money from the restaurant and then left.

Both the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) and the Alachua Police Department (APD) responded to the scene but were unable to find him.

After getting a warrant issued on Oct. 24., authorities were able to arrest Jackson around 8:15 a.m. Thursday morning.

He is being held on a $725,000 bond at the Alachua County Jail.
