GAINESVILLE, FL (352today.com) – The Gainesville Police Department (GPD) says they are still investigating a hit and run crash that happened on Monday, Nov. 13.

Police say around 1:40 a.m., a person was riding on a scooter in the area of 200 NE 16th Ave. when they were hit by a car.

GPD describes the vehicle in a Facebook post as a ‘small, light colored, 4-door car with dark door trim’ on the passenger side of the car.

GPD says the scooter rider was traveling west when they were hit by the car from behind.

They say the vehicle should have damage to the front bumper or the passenger side.
