OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Looking for a fun, low-cost way to spend time outdoors with your family this summer? The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is offering two license-free fishing weekends—perfect for parents, kids, and beginners to enjoy a day by the water without needing a fishing license.
- Saltwater fishing: June 7–8
- Freshwater fishing: June 14–15
The FWC encourages anglers of all ages and skill levels to participate. Whether you’re casting from a pier, the shoreline, or a boat, these weekends are a great time to enjoy Florida’s abundant fishing opportunities without the usual permit requirements.
While no license is needed during these dates, all other fishing regulations remain in effect, including size and bag limits as well as seasonal restrictions.
