OCALA, FL (352today.com) – The Dandelion Project, the Central Florida-based nonprofit dedicated to providing support and resources to those who’ve lost loved ones or are struggling with mental or emotional health issues, is hosting a community awareness and remembrance event at Ocala’s Compassion United Methodist Church in Ocala on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2026.
The event, titled “Together in H.O.P.E.” (the acronym standing for Hold On Pain Ends/Eases), is intended to bring together those impacted by grief and loss to create a sense of community and support.
“The event coincides with the launch of a community awareness billboard [campaign] created in collaboration with Leona’s Legacy of Love, highlighting the importance of compassion, visibility, and conversation around grief and substance use disorder,” wrote Dandelion Project Founder and Executive Director Linda Bolton in a statement. “During the event, attendees will view Faces of H.O.P.E. banners, which share real stories of loss, recovery, and families left behind, offering a space for connection, remembrance, and hope.”
“Together in H.O.P.E.” runs from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday. Compassion United Methodist Church is located at 1712 SE Lake Weir Ave. in Ocala.
