HERNANDO COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) arrested three teenagers after they were caught on security video trespassing inside an abandoned building.
Deputies were dispatched to the shuttered Seven Hills Golf Clubhouse located at 10599 Fairchild Road in Spring Hill after a report of a burglary.Once they arrived, deputies witnessed surveillance footage that showed three teenagers forcing entry into the building.
Deputies say the teens removed a piece of plywood panel attached to the building’s exterior in order to enter.
The sheriff’s office says the tri remained in the building for five minutes before exiting the same way they entered
After using descriptions generated from the surveillance video, deputies were able to locate 18-year-old Gage Carlisto and a 17-year-old girl in the area of Spring Hill Drive.
Both were transported to the district 2 office in Spring Hill for questioning, where they deputies say they admitted entering the building without permission.
According to HCSO, the teens said that they only wanted to look inside of the clubhouse and did not remove anything from the building.
During questioning, the suspects identified a 16-year-old male as the third person in the video surveillance.
Deputies located and arrested the juvenile a short time later.
HCSO charged all three with one felony count of Commercial Burglary.
Deputies then transported Carlisto to the Hernando County Detention Center, where he is currently being held without bond.
The two juveniles were released to the custody of their parents as directed by the Department of Children and Families.
