GAINESVILLE, FL. (352today.com) — The 38th annual Hoggetowne Medieval Faire takes on a new twist this year with the theme “Hoggetowne Goes Downtown.”
The event will be held at the City of Gainesville’s Depot Park, 874 SE 4th St., this Saturday and Sunday.
Visitors can step into the past with a full lineup of medieval entertainment, including battling knights, merry dancers, and mystifying magicians. Guests can also test their skills in old-world games, enjoy food and drink, and browse unique wares offered by vendors.

To make transportation easier, free shuttles and trams will run from several downtown parking areas. The Gainesville RTS bus system, with the Rosa Parks Downtown Transfer Station just a block away, also offers convenient access to the event.
