MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – Marion County Fire Rescue (MCFR) crews rescued a horse that was stuck in a pond on Tuesday morning.

The fire department says crews responded to the 17300 block of SE 160th Ave. Road in Weirsdale in response to a call for help to rescue a horse. They say the 911 caller told them that the horse was not able to move. MCFR says when they got on scene around 8 a.m., the horse was obviously cold and weak.

Firefighters say the horse was in more than four feet of water. Multiple units responded and were able to get on a boat and make their way to the horse.
