OCALA, FL (352today.com) – The roar of motorcycle engines will thunder through the streets of downtown Ocala this Saturday, Sept. 9, as part of a Patriot Day observance in honor of the 22nd anniversary of the September 11 attacks on the United States.

Hundreds of motorcycles are expected to escort the 9/11 traveling wall exhibit which will be followed by a solemn ceremony in the Ocala-Marion County Veterans Memorial Park marking Patriot Day – a national day of prayer and remembrance designed to commemorate the 2,977 lives lost.

Order of Events
The two-wheeled parade begins at the SE Livestock Pavilion at 2232 NE Jacksonville Rd, proceeds through Ocala and into the Marion County Library parking lot on 2720 East Silver Springs Blvd.

In order to witness the motorcycle escort’s arrival at the library, organizers say you should be there by no later than 9:30 a.m. The escort is slated to arrive at 9:40 a.m.

The 9/11 traveling wall exhibit will then be set up in the Ocala-Marion County Veterans Memorial Park at 2601 East Fort King Street.

The commemoration ceremony starts at 10:30 a.m. in the Park Pavilion.
