OCALA, FL (352today.com) Downtown Ocala buzzed with energy on Friday, Jan. 3, 2025, as the First Friday Art Walk kicked off the new year with colorful art displays, live music, and a festive atmosphere.
Despite the chilly evening, art enthusiasts and local residents filled the streets, enjoying an array of booths, performances, and extended business hours.






The Marion Theatre served as a popular stop, where visitors sipped warm drinks while taking in the creative spirit of the event. Photographer Phillip D. Breske’s work drew intrigued onlookers, while artist Justin Alsedek carefully arranged his pieces under the glowing streetlights. Musicians Mwiza captivated the crowd with soulful performances, adding to the electric atmosphere of the evening.




Harry’s, a downtown favorite, welcomed guests with cozy drinks and lively conversation. The festive holiday lights around the square added a magical touch, creating a picturesque setting for the event.







Artist Alex Jones may have stolen the show with a live demonstration of UV ink printing techniques, his unique process drawing a curious crowd. Meanwhile, Patricia Teal’s vibrant creations captivated attendees, proving to be one of the highlights of the evening.



The First Friday Art Walk will continue throughout the season, offering a monthly opportunity for residents and visitors to experience Ocala’s thriving arts scene.
