OCALA, FL (352today.com) – It’s Florida’s largest Jeep event of the year.

The 28th annual Jeeptoberfest will be held Oct. 10th and Oct. 11 at the Florida Horse Park in Ocala. The event on Oct. 10 begins at 9 a.m. with the courses closing at 4 p.m. Saturday’s festivities begin at 8 a.m. and go to 5 p.m. The Horse Park has been extremely supportive, allowing the Ocala Jeep Club to build trails on site, said Pam Smith, Ocala Jeep Club of Florida, Inc. public relations director and Jeeptoberfest vendor coordinator. The event will be held rain or shine.

The event last year was moved to December because of Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

There will be multiple courses, ranging from stock and moderate to extreme, on site that the Jeeps can navigate their way around, and there’s a spectator viewing area. The cost for spectators is $10 per carload for parking, with a portion of the admission proceeds being donated to local charities.

“We’ll have lots of food trucks, have bleachers set up at the obstacles, so people can sit on the bleachers and watch the Jeeps play,” said Smith. “It’s all for charity. The Jeep club supports local charities, and our charities will be on-site in the vendor area.”

On Friday Oct. 10, Jeeptoberfest will be raising awareness for breast cancer, as October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The Ocala Jeep Club is holding the Pink Night for Breast Cancer Awareness Event from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., which includes, Jeeps, raffles, music, vendors, food trucks and trophies.

“We’re asking everyone to wear pink, they can decorate their Jeeps,” said Smith, who is a breast cancer survivor. “We have a variety of show classes for the different Jeeps, that the participants will be judged in.”

Jeeptoberfest on Oct. 11 will feature a helicopter duck drop, Duck Drop Huey, at 11 a.m., and at 4 p.m., there will be raffles.

Pre-registration ends at 10 a.m. on Oct. 4 on the club’s website; however, if you would still like to register your Jeep, you can do so the day of event for $85, $75 for the Jeep entry and the additional $10 for parking.
