CITRUS COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – Now, that’s a good boy!

On Tuesday night, Citrus County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) deputies say they observed a gold Cadillac driving erratically along Highway 19, at one point crossing three lanes of traffic without signaling.

Deputies activated the lightbar to signal to the Cadillac driver to pull over. After the initial traffic stop, deputies enlisted the help of K-9 Cairo to conduct a free-air sniff around the vehicle.

Almost instantly, they say Cairo alerted to the presence of a controlled substance in the vehicle.

Deputies say they asked the driver, 20-year-old Trevon Deshawn Simon, to step out of his vehicle so deputies could conduct a thorough search. That’s when they say they noticed Simon reaching around the floorboard and underneath the passenger seat.

When deputies reached to open the door, they say Simon grabbed the door to restrict entry. Deputies say they witnessed Simon grabbing a plastic baggie from his pocket, attempting to break it. Deputies detained Simon and conducted a search. They say they found eight clear plastic baggies that all tested positive for fentanyl and methamphetamines. Deputies seized a total of 4.5 grams of fentanyl and 288.4 grams of methamphetamines.
