LADY LAKE, FL (352today.com) – Lady Lake police arrested two people after finding trafficking-level amounts of drugs inside a home in the Lady Lake portion of The Villages.
Officers went to a home in the 1700 block of West Schwartz Boulevard on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026, while
searching for suspects wanted on warrants the Marion County Sheriff’s Office issued. Those suspects were not at the residence, but five other people were inside.
As officers approached, one of the occupants, Teddie Morris, attempted to flee through a back
window before a lieutenant stopped her. Morris had active warrants and was taken into custody.
Officers were able to see drug paraphernalia inside the home and obtained a search warrant. During the search, police found more than 80 grams of methamphetamine and cocaine, along with more than $3,000 believed to be proceeds from drug sales.
Police arrested occupant, Phillip O’Day, on drug trafficking charges.
“This residence had generated numerous complaints, and we hope this arrest sends a strong message that Lady Lake will not tolerate crime in our community,” Police Chief Steve Hunt said.
The investigation remains active and additional information is not available.
