LADY LAKE, FL (352today.com) – Last week, we reported that the Town of Lady Lake in Lake County had decided to cancel its Christmas parade for 2026, citing budgeting uncertainty around, among other things, the potential effects of the Amendment 3 proposal to raise the statewide homestead tax exemption if passed.

Well, it turns out that news was a bit premature, as a benevolent sponsor has stepped forward to help make sure the beloved annual tradition continues.

“The Town of Lady Lake is pleased to announce that the annual Christmas Parade will take place Saturday, Dec. 5, thanks to the generous support of PARALIFE Financial, which has stepped forward to fully sponsor the event,” read an announcement distributed Tuesday, October 20, 2026.

Headquartered in The Villages, PARALIFE Financial has offered personalized retirement income strategies, life insurance solutions, and tax planning services, with a longstanding commitment to community involvement and charitable giving, for more than a quarter of a century.

“The sponsorship reflects the important role community partnerships play in preserving events that bring residents together, particularly as the Town works to balance fiscal responsibility with opportunities for community engagement,” the announcement read.

Additional information, including this year’s parade route, schedule and “participation opportunities” will be shared “in the coming weeks.”
