LAKE COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – Lake County’s 2050 Comprehensive Plan is titled “Shaping Lake County’s Future, Together,” and the municipality is making good on that title by scheduling three public meetings in January 2026 during which residents can get updates, share their input and help determine the future of their community.

The three community meetings are scheduled as follows:
- Monday, Jan. 12, 2026, 6 p.m. Umatilla High School cafeteria, 320 N. Trowell Ave., Umatilla
- Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2026, 6 p.m. Harris Room at Venetian Gardens, 1 Dozier Ct., Leesburg
- Thursday, Jan. 15, 2026, 6 p.m. Aurelia M. Cole Academy cafeteria, 150 Pitt St., Clermont
“The updated Comprehensive Plan will serve as Lake County’s guiding vision for shaping policy and decision-making across a variety of topics over the next 10 to 25 years,” read an announcement. “The upcoming community meetings will provide residents with an opportunity to contribute to the development of the Comprehensive Plan.”
