LAKE COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – September is Florida Preparedness Month, so named because it’s the midpoint and traditionally the peak of the Sunshine State’s annual hurricane season.
We had a pretty tame season last year, and so far, this year as well, but the fine folks at Lake County Florida Emergency Management want to kick off the month by reminding residents of the 352 that it’s never too late to prepare for extreme weather… until it is.
They’ve put together a great, informative video (hosted by Megan Milanese, director of the aforementioned agency) explaining simple, sustainable ways to prepare for the rest of this hurricane season, and many more to come.
