LAKE COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – The 2026 Adopt-a-Lake calendar, which showcases Lake County’s water bodies, will be available starting Wednesday, Dec. 3.

Nearly 200 photos were entered in the 2026 Adopt-a-Lake photo contest. A committee narrowed the images down to 34 semifinalists. More than 2,600 votes were cast to select the top 14 photographs to feature in the 2026 calendar. The runner-up photos are included in a special section at the back of the calendar. The top-scoring picture, of Lake Norris and submitted by Hong Xiao, is featured on the calendar’s front cover.

The 2026 Adopt-a-Lake calendar is available for a suggested donation of $6.

Calendars are available at the following locations:

  • Lake County’s Parks and Water Resources office (27351 SR 19, Tavares), Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Lake County’s Solid Waste Administration office (13130 County Landfill Road, Tavares), Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Trout Lake Nature Center (520 CR 44, Eustis), Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Calendars can also be ordered online at https://payments.lakecountyfl.gov.

You can also mail a check, made out to “Lake County BCC,” to: Adopt-a-Lake Program, P.O. Box 7800, Tavares, FL 32778. Please include an additional $1 per calendar for postage, along with the address to which it should be sent.
