LEESBURG, FL (352today.com) – City of Leesburg Commissioners have selected District 1 Commissioner Allyson Berry to fill the city’s mayoral position in 2026.
Berry, who has been a city commissioner since 2023, will succeed Mayor Alan Reisman, who is also the city’s District 2 commissioner. She was nominated by District 3 Commissioner (and Mayor Pro Tem) Jay Connell; the nomination was seconded by District 4 Commissioner Mike Pederson.
District 5 Commissioner Jimmy Burry nominated Pederson for the role of mayor pro tem, a move that was seconded by Reisman.
