OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Bricks & Minifigs is preparing to bring LEGO selling, buying and trading to Ocala. They hosted their first buy day of three on Oct. 3 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at 4901 E. Silver Springs Blvd., suite 310, in Ocala. Guests from individual LEGO enthusiasts to families turning in unused sets formed lines to sell their LEGOs.

The new location is currently underway with Exemplar Construction renovating the building. Throughout the buy day, guests could take a look inside at the current progress of the construction. Along with being able to view the interior of the store, Owners David and Glenna Jacola along with store manager, Izzy, bought LEGOs while offering guests snacks and Bricks & Minifigs stickers.

Participants brought LEGOs in boxed sets, cardboard boxes and plastic bins, selling individual LEGO items, full boxed sets and completed LEGO builds. Locals will have more chances to attend the buy days with one on Oct. 17 and another on Oct. 31. These are the only buy days planned for the store prior to opening; however, locals can trade in LEGOs following the opening.

A portion of the store’s LEGO inventory will feature locally bought LEGOs while more items, such as greeting cards and wearable jewelry, will be available through other distributors. The store also plans to host events including birthday parties and stop-motion animation classes for kids. Jacola expressed his love for Ocala, Bricks & Minifigs and his excitement for the future of the store.

“I’m really excited to be able to bring something new to Ocala,” said Jacola, owner of Bricks & Minifigs Ocala, “that bring a sense of joy and helps families have a safe space to relate to one another, to be together, to do things together. Obviously operating events and birthday parties are going to be a key for us and I’m really excited to offer those things.”

The store will be an opportunity to introduce a specialized store for LEGOs to kids while offering family-friendly services. Although the predicted date of opening is Nov. 21, there will be more information as the opening date approaches.
