LEVY COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – The Levy County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) says the arrest of two men closes two lengthy child pornography investigations.

LCSO says detectives worked with multiple agencies including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC), the Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) and the Department of Children and Family Services (DCF) to develop enough evidence to obtain search warrants on two men.

In the first case, detectives arrested 34-year-old Chuck Lee Rogers of Chiefland. They took him into custody at his home on Oct. 17.

He has been charged with 20 counts of possession of child pornography and is being held on a $200,000 bond. LCSO deputies say they expect more charges to be filed once they’ve been able to analyze the evidence collected during the arrest.

In the second, unrelated case, LCSO detectives arrested 65-year-old Bruce Edwin Cannon of Trenton in July. They just filed more charges this month after analyzing images on electronic devices seized on the day of his arrest. They say they found more child pornographic images and slapped those on top of a child sexual assault by a custodian charge and a lewd and lascivious charge. Cannon is being held at the Levy County Detention Center on a $2.5 million dollar bond.
