OCALA, FL (352today.com) – “Little Shop of Horrors” is a horror-comedy film directed by Roger Croman and released in 1960. In 1982, “Little Shop of Horrors” was adapted into a musical and performed for the first time off-Broadway. It became more widely known before being adapted into the beloved cult-classic Frank Oz 1986 horror-comedy musical film known today by the same name. The plot is similar across both films, centering on a florist named Seymour Krelborn who brings Audrey II, a man-eating plant that feasts on human blood, to life.

Now, “Little Shop of Horrors” is hitting the stage again at the Ocala Civic Theatre beginning on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2026, as a part of OCT’s 75th season.
