OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Forget dinner and a movie. Couples looking for a more hands-on evening can make a mess together at the Discovery Center’s upcoming “Date Night: Attack of the Slime.”
The adults-only event will take place from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, at the Discovery Center, 701 NE Sanchez Ave., adjacent to Tuscawilla Park in Ocala. Designed for guests ages 18 and older, the evening combines spooky science, slime-making and a little friendly competition.
Couples will experiment with different materials to create their own slime, whether they end up with the perfect gooey concoction or a science experiment gone wrong. The event also includes a slime monster scavenger hunt, spooky science demonstrations and a chance to explore the Discovery Center’s exhibits without the usual kid-filled atmosphere.
Light refreshments will be provided, and activities are scheduled to begin shortly after doors open at 6 p.m.
Admission is $30 per couple, with one ticket covering two people. Advance registration is required by Thursday, Oct. 15, so couples should purchase tickets ahead of time.
