LAKE COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – The Lake County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) says they have arrested a man after a drug bust at a home in Mascotte.
The sheriff’s office says their SWAT team along with their Special Investigations Bureau executed a search warrant at 309 Line Street in Lake County on Jan. 25.
During the search, they found 33-year-old Hector Herrera inside with nearly three ounces of cocaine, a half-pound of marijuana, oxycodone, and two firearms.

They arrested and charged him with trafficking in cocaine, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a controlled substance (oxycodone), and possession of drug paraphernalia.
LCSO says Herrera was also already out on bond from an incident that occurred in August of 2023 in Sumter County. According to Sumter County jail records, he was arrested on multiple drug charges including trafficking cocaine.
The sheriff’s office says detectives from Homeland Security, as well as Mount Dora, Eustis, Leesburg, and Clermont Police Departments assisted in the 4-month investigation.
