BELLEVIEW, FL (352today.com) – Mariah Moody, Belleview’s current City Clerk, was unanimously chosen as the city’s next administrator during the November 19 City Commission meeting.
She will step into the role in January 2025 following the retirement of Sandi McKamey, who has served Belleview for 45 years.
The decision followed a transparent selection process, where three internal candidates, including Moody, presented their qualifications and vision during public interviews.
Mayor Christine Dobkowski praised Moody’s appointment, stating, “Mariah has proven herself to be an exceptional leader who understands both the operations of the city and the needs of our residents. Her experience, combined with her dedication and fresh perspective, makes her the ideal person to guide Belleview into the future.”
Outgoing Administrator Sandi McKamey reflected on her tenure and shared confidence in Moody’s abilities. “It has been one of the greatest privileges of my life to serve this city. Mariah’s passion, integrity, and vision for Belleview will ensure our community continues to thrive,” said McKamey.
Moody expressed gratitude for the opportunity, acknowledging McKamey’s mentorship. “I am deeply humbled and honored by the Commission’s trust in me to serve as Belleview’s next City Administrator. Sandi’s decades of leadership have left an incredible legacy, and I am grateful for her guidance and mentorship. As we move forward, I look forward to working closely with our Commission, staff, and residents to build on our successes, address challenges, and ensure that Belleview remains a place we are all proud to call home,” Moody remarked.
Her appointment marks a new chapter in Belleview’s leadership, as the city prepares for continued growth and development under Moody’s guidance.
