OCALA, FL (352today.com) – The Marion County Board of County Commissioners has officially designated July 19, 2025, as Parks and Recreation Professionals Day, recognizing the dedicated individuals who enhance local quality of life through parks, programs, and public spaces.
Through a formal proclamation, the commission highlighted how parks and recreation professionals contribute to community well-being—physically, socially, environmentally, and economically. Their efforts include maintaining clean, accessible parks, preserving green space, and offering inclusive recreational programs for all ages.
“We are thrilled to recognize our team and the work each and every one of you do to ensure our parks are open, clean, and able to be utilized by our citizens every day,” said Commission Chairman Kathy Bryant.
