OCALA, FL (352today.com) – The Marion County Board of County Commissioners has officially designated March 2025 as “Gardening Month,” recognizing the contributions of Master Gardeners in promoting sustainable gardening practices and environmental education.
The observance coincides with the 29th Annual Master Gardener Spring Festival, scheduled for March 8-9 at the Southeastern Livestock Pavilion. The festival has drawn nearly 113,000 attendees over the years, offering expert-led discussions on Florida-Friendly landscaping, water conservation, fertilization best practices, and pest management.

In addition to educational opportunities, the event will feature a Kids Zone with interactive activities aimed at engaging young nature enthusiasts. Visitors can also explore programs offered by the UF/IFAS Marion County Extension Service.
