MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – The Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) is looking for a man who allegedly used a dead person’s credit card multiple times.

According to MCSO, the suspect withdrew $18,000 in cash advances at multiple ATMs within the county.

An employee of the Florida Credit Union discovered the suspected fraudulent activity in April while checking into a delinquent credit card loan.

After further investigation, the credit union employee determined that the owner of the account died in September of 2022.

According to the sheriff’s office, the fraudulent charges happened during February and March of this year.

The sheriff’s office is asking anyone who recognizes the person captured in the ATM security camera footage to call 352-732-9111. Callers who want to stay anonymous can contact Marion County Crime Stoppers at 352-368-7867.  Information that leads to an arrest could make you eligible for a reward.
