OCALA, FL (352today.com) – On Thursday, Nov. 7, 2024, at 3:10 p.m., Marion County Fire Rescue (MCFR) units responded to a reported structure fire at the intersection of NE 19th Ct. and NE 61st St. in Ocala.

MCFR says that multiple 911 calls indicated that the residence was fully engulfed in flames.

Anthony Engine Company #1 was the first to arrive at 3:15 p.m., quickly establishing command and deploying hose lines. Observing the intense flames, MCFR says that the incident commander ordered a defensive approach to contain the fire. Firefighters from Heavy Rescue #2, Engine #10, Engine #20, and Tanker #19 arrived shortly after to assist in battling the blaze.

MCFR says that the fire was declared under control by 3:22 p.m. and that no injuries were reported among civilians or firefighters. The cause of the fire and the exact origin remain under investigation as MCFR works to determine what sparked the flames.
