BELLEVIEW, FL (352today.com) – Marion County Fire Rescue (MCFR) crews responded to a structure fire around 6:45 a.m. Wednesday in Belleview.
Firefighters say they received a call from a concerned citizen that a house across the street was on fire. MCFR says the house is located across the street from Belleview Station #18 on SE 55 Avenue Road. When crews responded to the scene, they say they saw smoke coming out of the roof of the home.
Fire rescue crews from the Belleview station searched the home while other crews attacked the fire. Within fifteen minutes, the blaze was under control. They were able to quickly extinguish what they say was mostly in the attic of the home. Firefighters from Spruce Creek #30, Villages of Marion Station #10, and Shady Station #16 also assisted.

MCFR Prevention Division Investigators are still investigating the cause and origin of the fire. No injuries were reported.
