OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Yesterday afternoon, Sept. 26 at 1:42 p.m., Marion County Fire Rescue (MCFR) received reports of a car crash near On Top of the World. According to MCFR, 911 callers said one of the cars involved in the collision had rolled over, trapping a person inside.
MCFR Friendship Station Rescue #21, located in the Highway 200 area near the crash, arrived on the scene at 1:45 p.m. Firefighters confirmed the wreck was blocking a lane of Southwest Highway 200 near its intersection with Southwest 99 Street Road.
Shortly after, five other emergency vehicles responded to the scene. MCFR says the firefighters worked together to quickly extricate the trapped individual, and they were successfully removed from the car. Firefighters then called a trauma alert due to the nature and mechanism of the patient’s injury.

The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) reportedly investigated the cause of the collision.
