Passed during the June 3rd county commission meeting, the proclamation recognizes the foundational influence of faith and family in shaping the character, values, and well-being of Marion County residents. It affirms that strong families—rooted in love, commitment, and mutual support—are essential to building healthy communities and developing responsible, compassionate citizens.

“Families provide love, security, and moral guidance, while faith offers strength, purpose, and encouragement through life’s challenges,” the proclamation reads. “Together, they leave a lasting impact across generations.”

The county commission also acknowledged the diverse expressions of faith and family life that enrich Marion County’s culture, emphasizing that this month is a celebration of unity, resilience, and shared values that strengthen the community.

County Commission Chairman Kathy Bryant addressed the many local faith and community leaders in attendance, offering words of gratitude on behalf of the commission.
