OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Marion County Public Schools (MCPS) hopes to fill vacant positions in many different areas during a career fair this Friday, Dec. 1.

The district has more than 250 jobs posted on its website. Positions range from teachers to technicians. Bus drivers to food service workers. They’re searching for carpenters, plumbers, receptionists, support staff, mechanics and more.

The event is from 4 to 6 p.m. at Howard Academy Community Center (HACC) in Ocala.

The district says the hiring event is “ideal for college students graduating in December and families wanting to relocate to Marion County in the new year.”

MCPS is hoping to recruit people to the area by promoting the “small-town feel in our community known as the Horse Capital of the World,” stated a release.

Interviews will take place on-site with school principals and district administrators. Applicants are encouraged to bring a current resume and dress for success.

HACC is located at 306 NW Seventh Ave. in Ocala. The Winter Career Fair is a partnership between MCPS, CareerSource Citrus Levy Marion, and the Marion County Hospital District.
