A school bus carrying 19 children was struck by a sedan in Marion County, with no injuries reported at the scene, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – A collision involving a Marion County school bus and a sedan happened around 2:49 p.m. on Tuesday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).
The crash took place at the intersection of NW 155th Street and County Road 25A. Authorities report that a 71-year-old Citra woman was driving a sedan south on a private roadway and turned left onto NW 155th Street, where the school bus had stopped for traffic ahead. The sedan’s driver was unable to stop in time, resulting in a collision between the sedan’s front right and the left side of the bus.

Nineteen children were on board the school bus at the time of the crash. No injuries were reported at the scene.
Both vehicles were relocated off the roadway before authorities arrived. The incident remains under investigation.
