MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – On Monday, Dec. 8, 2025, Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) Major Crimes Detective Henrik Osthed arrested 34-year-old David Preising for 20 counts of Possession of Child Pornography, Use of a Computer to Seduce a Child, Transmitting Material Harmful to Minors, and Use of a Two-way Communication Device to Facilitate a Felony.
On November 22, 2025, MCSO Deputy Bisesi responded to a report that Preising was communicating with underage girls online. Deputy Bisesi was provided with a cell phone that Preising had been using, which was collected for digital forensic extraction. Detective Osthed spoke with the reportee, who stated she had caught Preising viewing Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) previously. Recently, she found that he was messaging a 16-year-old and using the reportee’s images to pretend to be her and lure children to him. Detective Osthed reviewed the contents of the cell phone and located numerous videos and images depicting CSAM, as well as a conversation where Preising sent a 16-year-old sexual photos of himself and directed her to produce CSAM.
During the interview, Preising admitted to viewing, soliciting, and downloading CSAM. Preising was placed under arrest and transported to the Marion County Jail, where he is held without bond.
