MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – Marion County Sheriff’s deputies say they arrested a man on charges of possessing child pornography.
The sheriff’s office says they arrested 54-year-old William Amuzzini on 20 counts of possession of child pornography.
On Feb. 9, detectives say a Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agent conducting an online investigation into child sexual abuse material (CSAM) contacted them. The agent told detectives that during his investigation, he found an Internet Protocol (IP) address in Marion County that downloaded CSAM.
After subpoenaing the internet provider, MCSO detectives concluded that Amuzzini was the subscriber, living at a home located on Southeast 41st Avenue in Ocala.
MCSO says after searching his home on a warrant, Amuzzini’s hard drive had CSAM files downloaded. The sheriff’s office says the files “depicted toddlers and prepubescent children engaged in sexual acts with adults.”
A detective working on the case described the files as “among the most egregious he has encountered throughout his career,” stated MCSO in a Facebook post.
