SUMMERFIELD, FL (352today.com) – On January 4, 2026, Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) Major Crimes Detective Jason Williams arrested Dexter Rayonne Jackson (DOB: 04/11/1987) on charges of Robbery with a Firearm, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and Resisting Without Violence.

At approximately 7:30 p.m. on January 4, 2026, MCSO deputies responded to a report of a robbery that had just occurred at the Dollar General located at 15090 S. U.S. Highway 441 in Summerfield. Witnesses reported that a Black male, later identified as Jackson, entered the store wearing a ski mask and holding a firearm. The suspect demanded money from store employees and threatened to shoot everyone inside if they did not comply quickly. After receiving a bag of money from staff, the suspect fled the store.

MCSO Deputy Cetin arrived on scene and observed a male matching the suspect’s description. The deputy gave chase, and MCSO deputies were able to apprehend Jackson in the 15100 block of SE 91st Court Road. At the time of his arrest, Jackson was still wearing the ski mask. The stolen money and firearm were located nearby.

Jackson was arrested and transported to the Marion County Jail, where he is being held without bond. During a post-arrest investigation, MCSO detectives learned that Jackson was previously arrested in 2015 in Palm County, Florida, on charges including Grand Theft Auto, False Imprisonment, and Attempted Robbery. Jackson was released from prison on November 12, 2025. He was subsequently arrested again on December 20, 2025, by MCSO deputies on charges of Fleeing or Attempting to Elude, Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer, Driving While License Suspended or Revoked, and Possession of a Controlled Substance receiving a $15,500 bond on those charges, which he posted.
