OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Hundreds of Marion County Public School students gathered at the Ocala/Marion County Veterans Memorial Park on Monday, Nov. 11, to honor veterans with a special Veterans Day program.
The event featured patriotic songs, speeches, and performances by various school groups, including JROTC units and music ensembles.
Students from 34 schools across the district participated, demonstrating their respect and gratitude for the sacrifices of veterans.
A highlight of the program was the unveiling of the Battlefield Memorial, dedicated to the late Tommy Needham, a visionary and founder of the Veterans Park.
The event concluded with a flyover by Warbirds, a fitting tribute to the bravery and service of our nation’s heroes.
