OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Marion County residents are invited to a public meeting to learn about proposed updates to the Marion County Comprehensive Plan and share their feedback on a new land use tool known as Planned Service Areas (PSAs).
The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30 at the Marion Oaks Community Center, located at 294 Marion Oaks Lane in Ocala.
PSAs are a planning concept aimed at creating walkable, well-connected neighborhoods where residents can live, work, shop, and play. Designed to support future growth while preserving the character of local communities, PSAs emphasize people-friendly development patterns.
Two sites under consideration
Two potential PSA locations in Marion Oaks are currently being studied, and county planners are seeking public input to help shape how these areas are developed.
