Marion County Veterans Services to Honor Local Vets Who Have Passed July 11

The department remembers those who have passed every six months.

OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Marion County Veterans Services will hold its Semi-Annual Memorial Reading remembering and honoring the county’s veterans who’ve passed away during a six-month period on Saturday, July 11, 2026.

The county department pays tribute to those resident veterans who have gone to rest every six months at Ocala-Marion County Veterans Memorial Park. The upcoming memorial reading will honor those who passed from December 2025 through May 2026.

The ceremony usually includes keynote remarks from at least one veteran, as well as the reading of the names of the deceased, who could be former or current members of any one of each of the United States Armed Forces.

The service begins at 9 a.m., and is open to the public. Ocala-Marion County Veterans Memorial Park is located at 2601 E. Fort King St., Ocala.
