MARION OAKS, FL (352today.com) – If you’re living in the Marion Oaks community and are looking to get the most out of your Winn Dixie Rewards Program, you’ll need to act fast before the store closes for good.

According to Southeastern Grocers (SE Grocers), the parent company of Winn-Dixie, the supermarket chain based out of Jacksonville is in the process of having hundreds of its stores bought out by ALDI.

SE Grocers says a deal with the supermarket chain out of Germany is set to close at the end of 2024. The deal sees ALDI buying out hundreds of Winn Dixie locations across the Southeast, according to SE Grocers.

One of those locations will be the Winn Dixie in Marion Oaks, located at 184 Marion Oaks Blvd. According to SE Grocers, conversion plans are still ongoing.

SE Grocers says store associates at displaced Winn Dixie locations will be given “first opportunity” to either apply for roles at newly converted ALDI stores or transfer to a neighboring Winn Dixie location.

“We appreciate the support and understanding of our valued associates, customers, and communities throughout this process, and we will share more information as it becomes available,” said SE Grocers in a statement.

SE Grocers says nearby Winn Dixie locations getting the “ALDI treatment” include a Winn Dixie in The Villages, specifically the location at 820 Old Camp Road in Lake Sumter Landing.
