MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – Marion County firefighters battled a structure fire on Tuesday morning in Belleview.

According to Marion County Fire Rescue (MCFR), crews responded to the 6800 block of SE 107th St. in Belleview after a caller advised them that there was “dark smoke” coming from the back porch.

MCFR says Belleview Station #18 arrived within three minutes and began working to extinguish the fire while others worked on attacking the fire from the inside.

“The quick interior attack on the fire stopped it on the back porch, with minimal damage to the house’s interior,” said MCFR in a Facebook post.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

No injuries were reported.
